Appointed to do work as senior video producer for Sun Sport and Dan Wootton’s Bizarre Facebook page.

Responsible for creation of all video content for Sun Sport and Bizarre Facebook pages. Writing, filming and editing of video content. Social video branding. First point of contact between editorial staff and other departments. Training of junior staff. Working with celebrities and management at senior level.

Succeeded in delivering high-quality video content for social sites for The Sun which contributed to increased viewing audience of over 40%. Several videos receiving audiences of over 30 million.

In July 2013 The Sun Newspaper set up Sun Studios to create original video content for the launch of its new Sun Plus website. With two weeks to launch no post-production services or video editors were in place.

Appointed to do work of senior video editor, producer and post-production manager.

Responsible for final edit and final delivery to website of all productions; first point of contact between producers and other departments of the paper; trained new staff on edit workflow and Sun website delivery; worked personally with talent such as Ian Wright; and technical support for all post-production issues.

Succeeded in delivering quality video content for The Sun Plus website which contributed to increased website subscription growth of 600,000 paid subscribers up to December 2014.

ROLES:

Senior Video Editor, Producer and Post-Production Manager for Sun Studios.

Responsible for final edit and hosting of all of Sun Studios video content to create increased subscription and website retention.

Lead Editor and post-production supervisor of a team that consists of four other editors.

Fabulous Magazine is one of the most read fashion celebrity magazines in the UK. They feature many well known celebrities from television, movies and music. Our role was to edit produce and film videos from various photo shoots that Fabulous Magazine did with various celebrities. This also usually included a sit down interview. Featured personalities included Ant and Dec, Kate Garraway, Mel B from Spice Girls, Lacey Turner and the Saturdays.

The Hunt For The London Rioters

THE HUNT FOR THE LONDON RIOTERS

Employer: Raw Cut TV – Metropolitan Police

Work: Senior Edit Producer

In December 2011 we gained access to senior London Met Police Detectives investigating the London riots. This developed into the idea of producing a documentary on ‘Operation Withern.’ We were hired by Raw Cut TV to edit and co-produce the documentary ‘The Hunt For The London Rioters.

Was first point of contact with lead detective Superintendent William Lyle of the Met Police.

Interviewed and filmed victims and senior detectives investigating the London Riots.

Created motion graphics for production.

Researched London riot crimes.

Finished final edit for delivery and broadcast.

Succeeded in creating final documentary with full approval from the Met Police, delivered on time with minimal budget.

The final documentary was selected by K7’s ‘What’s Hot List’ for MIP 2014.

ROLES:

Edit and co-producer for documentary ‘The Hunt for the London Rioters’ with the Met Police.

Consultant to Detective Superintendent William Lyle of Met Police and the production.

Granted full access to all available CCTV footage of the London riots from the Met Police.

Work: Edit Producing and vision mixing

The Sun Biz sessions are live acoustic multi-cam video recording sessions with some of the biggest stars in the music scene today. Artists that have recorded sessions include, Ellie Goulding, Travis, Jack Johnson, K.T. Tunstall, Chaz and Dave, Seasick Steve, Birdy, Editors, Foxes, Olly Murs, The Feeling and the Fratellis. Our role was to originally gallery produce but later this developed into filming with DSLR’s and editing final videos.

ROLES:

Meeting and greeting talent.

Set up lighting.

Supervise placing of microphones and music equipment.

Place remote cameras.

Live edit and vision mix in gallery.

DSLR film making.

Final edit of video and website hosting.

The Sun FC is a twice daily football news show for the Sun Newspapers website. The afternoon show host is Ian Wright and the morning show host is Samantha Johnson. My role was head editor and co-producer for both the afternoon show and the morning show. Inspiring Video worked closely with Samantha Johnson and Ian Wright as well as aiding the multiple football producers, directors, researchers and gallery crew in making of the final shows.

Lemon Squint

LEMON SQUINT

Employer: Gibber Productions

Work: Producing, Directing and Animating

Lemon Squint is an adult animated comedy sketch show pilot featuring various bizarre characters. Included in the show is talking cats, psychotic teddy bears, super villains, serial killers, drunks, tube station announcers, traffic wardens, prostitutes and a barbarian who lives with a poor student. Inspiring Video’s role was to write all the sketches, direct and record voice actors, animate some of the sketches and direct, edit and produce the final pilot episode.

Hailo

In July of 2015 taxi App Company Hailo decided to commission a series of videos that would show the use of its services to corporate clients. After tending the commission to various video companies I was selected to make the videos.

Inspiring Video was appointed as Project Manager to oversee production, video produce and video edit final videos.

Responsible for all client facing meetings with Hailo; completion of budget; hiring of camera crew; organising of shoots; editing of final videos; encoding and delivery of videos for the web.

Brass Eye

BRASS EYE

Employer: Zeppotron – Talk Back

Work: Animator

In December 2001 Chris Morris approached comedy production-company Zeppotron to create hoax Internet games for his Brass Eye Special.  Because of the sensitivity of the subject matter Zeppotron decided to hire myself as an outside contractor to do the work of developing a child’s interactive Internet game. This meant creating an animated character and web video game that would convince celebrities was real. The broadcast of the final show caused huge controversy and for a while was the most complained about show in the history of UK television. It later went on to win several awards and I am proud with my involvement in its production.

ROLES:

Hired as main animator for ‘Pantu the dog’ game

Created ‘Pantu’ dog character

Programmed Internet Flash game

Consult with Chris Morris and Charlie Brooker for hoax Internet game development.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Wrighty’s Wembley

WRIGHTY’S ROAD TO WEMBLEY

Wrighty’s Road to Wembley is a series of short documentary films that follow ex-premier league football player Ian Wright as he tours around the UK following the successes of teams in the FA Cup. Commissioned by the Sun Newspaper, these set of programmes, go with the highlight footage of the FA cup on the Sun Website. Inspiring Video’s Role was to edit produce the final shows, Consult with Ian Wright on the final edit and host on the Sun website.
