Hooligan The Movie

In July 2011 the independent production company Hooligan the Movie Ltd set up to make documentary feature film on the international football hooligan scene. Although the idea for the film was in place no story or script had been developed which made the production challenging. After detailed consultation with the producers Inspiring Video organised all the media into a narrative form that could then develop into the final story.  Any gaps in the final story there was no footage for Inspiring Video filmed cut away material and dramatic sequences to complete the final film. International footage from various countries also had to be translated by contributors and over dubs recorded to complete the final production.

ROLES:

Hired as lead film editor.

2nd unit director and camera operator of re-enactment sequences.

Responsible for offline edit and final delivery of film.

Director and camera operator of re-enactment scenes.

Sourced camera operators, music composer and assistant editors for production.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Created story order from footage for final script.

Supervised all international shooting teams in Germany, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil

Supervised translation and transcription of non-English footage.

Helped create final narration script for Sean Bean.

Succeeded in final delivery of film on time and on budget which distributor Eone successfully released.

Kent TV

KENT TV

Employer: Kent County Council – Ten Alps

Work: Video Journalism

Kent TV was the first online video news service in the UK run by Bob Geldoff production company Ten Alps and financed by Kent County Council. Recruited as freelance video journalist to research and develop stories, film on location, interview subjects and edit produce final videos for the web. Working at Kent TV was challenging as the requirement was to do every production role in producing the final video. This was demanding as you had to make new videos every day from the Maidstone Studios in Kent.

ROLES:

Researcher of local news stories

Consultant and point of contact with Kent County Council

Location camera operator for stories in the county of Kent

Interviewer and presenter of stories

Edit producer of final videos

Web hosting and final delivery of videos to the web

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Succeeded in successfully producing daily video stories for the website

Reporting and edit producing multiple stories about the people and events in the Kent region

Taking on all roles of production which included researching stories, filming on location, filming interviews while asking questions, edit producing final videos

Last Ghosts

LAST GHOSTS

Work: Producer, Director, Website Designer and Animator

Last Ghosts is a multimedia project that involves music, web design, animation, social media and a fictional story. As creator and project producer the brief was to bring to life a fictional animated rock band in the same tradition of Gorillaz. Inspiring Video’s role was create characters, design the website, story board and animate the video, write pilot episode stories and create an animation bible to pitch to production companies.

Animation compositor and animator.

Music Producer.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Succeeded in completing a difficult brief which involved many different media including music production, story design, animation, character creation, web design and social media.

Supervisor of illustrators, photographers and character artists.

Successfully produced album which was published on itunes.

Successfully produced and wrote full animation bible for pitching.

Storyboarded and animated video promo.
